Alejandro Cozachcow

Research interests: Democracies, Youth studies, Electoral reforms, Latin America

Author and Co-author in more than 35 publications, including peer-reviewed papers in academic journals, book chapters, two theses, and one book. Native of Argentina, lived in Berlin, Germany, where I combined my passion for research with teaching, consultancy, educational guiding in memorial sites, and the improvement of my German language knowledge. Currently, I’m based in Prague, Czech Republic, where I conduct research on electoral reforms and the minimum voting age in Latin America at Charles University.

Before moving to Europe, I worked in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as a Part-Time Lecturer at the Social Sciences Faculty (FSOC) of the Buenos Aires University (UBA), and as a Doctoral and Postdoctoral Researcher in the Research Group on Youth and Politics of Instituto de Investigaciones Gino Germani (GEPOJU, IIGG, FSOC-UBA). I received funding from the Buenos Aires University (UBA), the National Research Council (CONICET, Argentina), the National Ministry of Science (MINCyT, Argentina), the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and the Ibero-Amerikanishes Institut (Preußischer Kulturbesitz, Berlin, Germany).
